We'll start out with the most basic and move on to more involved & meaningful activities. Feel free to be as much or as little involved as you would like.
Did we mention that the BCM building is a great place to spend time
before, between, or after classes. We have a lounge with comfy
couches, a library to study in, a kitchen to prepare lunch in (once your
tired of eating out), ping pong, pool, and foosball tables, a video game
room, wifi access and community computers, a prayer room & vending
machines. The building is generally open M-F 8:00 to 4:00 during
the school year. Many students just park at the BCM Building and
walk down to class.
Every
Wednesday of the school year from 11:30 - 1:00 sweet ladies from local
churches bring a home cooked meal for students to enjoy. Every
week is a different church and a different menu. This is a great
time to come for a visit. There are new first-time visitors nearly
every week. This is a great time of fellowship and also serves as
a missions fundraiser. We ask for a $2.50 donation that goes to
support student summer missions.
From time to time throughout the year we will have special events
like; welcome week cookout, scavenger hunt, Christmas party, Super Bowl
party, etc. Once again the best way to get the details about what
is going on is by joining the Facebook
Group or
by coming by the building regularly.
Most
years, depending on student leadership, we try to have a regular
scheduled time of student-led worship called STAND. The times &
days for STAND Worship, change depending on student schedules.
Most often it has been on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday in the
afternoon. Students are encouraged to help give leadership to this
event if they can lead worship, give a devotional, lead prayer or share
a personal testimony.
Every semester we have a number of small group options. The
schedule varies depending on student leaders and student schedules.
In the past we have had Christian classics reading groups, traditional
themed Bible studies, accountability groups, prayer groups, Dave Ramsey
financial classes, or book of the Bible study group. Come by the
BCM and sign up for a small group.
There's
nothing like a good road trip for Jesus. Every year we have options for retreats and conferences. The
dates, locations, and themes can change so, once again, you will need to
join the Facebook
group or
drop by the building to get more info. We will usually have a fall
retreat on a weekend in October or November. We will also usually
have a statewide leadership conference in the spring semester most of
the time in April.
There are numerous opportunities to be involved in missions and
mission trips through the BCM. There are often local mission
opportunities available throughout the year. We also most often
offer several group mission trip during the Fall, Christmas, and Spring
Breaks. Finally we offer an extensive summer missions program
where you can serve across the country or around the world for up to 10
weeks. For more info on the summer mission opportunities check out
"here."
